But why the fuck did your posts get purged again? This is a military history blog, not a sex blog.

I don’t know and I am sure @staff doesn’t know either.

Although I just checked my archive again and it appears to be normal. I don’t think I have actually lost any posts as I went through them on my dashboard rather than using the archive.

So far I got response from the tumblr staff regarding only 3 of my posts flagged as sensitive each approximately 10 minutes between each other, just got an email for the last one as I am writing this so I suppose others will follow soon.

I also had trouble importing my current blog to WordPress and the admins there responded that they are “experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.“ So if you are importing to wordpress don’t cancel the process by yourself even if it takes a lot or it doesn’t show signs of progress.

I don’t think this will be the end of this website as we have been through a lot of hiccups and major accidents but I guess with time fewer people will stay here after each fiasco.

I would be out of town for the rest of the week and due to the great reliability of the tumblr app I wouldn’t be able to watch the drama closely but I think the staff is starting to recover the damages.

6 years on this hellhole of a website couldn’t go unpunished, I guess.

In the meantime I get some errors and can’t even import what’s left on WordPress…

I have all the images I posted on my hard drive and backed up on a flash drive because I know that whatever is on the internet it’s temporary.  And I got reminded of that. I will see where this mess goes but I am still unsure whether to migrate somewhere else or just give up entirely. I went through some of the alternatives but none have caught my eye so far.

I am not sure what’s going on because when I look at my posts through the menu on the right of my dashboard everything seems to be there but when I check the archive there are a lot of missing posts? Is this just me or can any of you see some of my older posts?
